Beginners Labouchere Line

For beginners who are still unsure about how to use the labouchere system and yet to come up with their own, here is my recommended beginners labouchere line.

1 1 1 1 1

I know it looks very simple and uninspiring but this line is easy to handle and will be good practice to learn the strengths and weaknesses to the labouchere system. Basically, this line won't get you into trouble too quickly. Finishing this simple line will give you a profit of 5 times your unit value, so is still profitable.

Another trick for conservative beginners, is to make the single unit value half the even money minimum. That is, if the table minimum is $10, then make your one unit value $5. This will reduce the bankroll requirements and volatility. You can do this because you will hardly ever be betting a single unit. If you do end up with a single unit like:-

X X 1 X X

Then just add another 1 unit to the end of the line:-

X X 1 X X 1 (next bet 2 units)

This will increase the potential profit from 5 time to 6 times the unit value, and your system will keep working with the table minimum.

The labouchere system is not particular on where to bet, so it is up to you how to do this but if you want a simple staking system to take the emotion out of picking a split bet; then use either a follow the shoe or Avant Dernier system to pick which side to place your bets.

Once you have pulled off a few coups, you can try experimenting with different starting lines.

Good Luck!
